Kelston and Glendene Walking Group
The Kelston and Glendene Walking Group Coordinator Yvonne Limmer has been walking the streets of Kelston and Glendene for over four months now and has picked up a great following of regular walkers along the way. The group has been steadily growing with each walking week and at the end of each month they enjoy a quick cuppa and muffin at the Arum Café. FunSkills

FunSkills is an afterschool programme aimed at developing children’s fundamental movement skills between the ages of 5 – 12 years old. The programme targets children who would benefit the most from the opportunity to participate in some fun, non competitive sport and activities. Four schools within Waitakere have signed on to the programme with two finishing their four week trials already and the other two starting Term 1 2010. It has been great to see the programme up and running and the amount of fun the children and coaches have been having.
If you would like to find out more about the programme or to become a FunSkills volunteer please contact Chade Julie on 9663106 or chade.julie@sportwaitakere.co.nz
